Behind The Wedding Sister
Hi, I’m Sarah, the heart behind The Wedding Sister. Long before this became a business, I was the one behind the scenes at my sisters’ weddings, and later for friends and extended family. I found joy in the small but important details like making sure snacks arrived in the bridal suite, filling up welcome bags, ironing out timelines or lining up family members for pictures.
Outside of wedding planning, I’ve spent years in the agency world working in account management, where I’ve honed skills that translate seamlessly into wedding coordination: client care, communication, organization, and keeping dozens of moving pieces on track. I’m extremely detail-oriented, thrive under pressure, and love creating calm in a high-stress environment.
A little more about me! I live in South Boston with my fiancé. I love escaping to Kennebunkport, ME and Wellfleet, MA in the summertime, and I enjoy a casual night in watching reality TV or a going out for a glass of wine with girlfriends, and honestly, I love chatting about anyone’s wedding details any chance I get.
My Approach
I believe weddings should feel joyful, and not stressful. Reality is, weddings and stress often go hand in hand, but the people you have surrounding you leading up to and on the day of, can really make a difference. My style is collaborative and fun, and I always aim to keep the vibe high so you and your guests can be fully present. Whether it’s making sure you eat while getting ready, coordinating logistics so your timeline flows seamlessly, or ensuring you get maximum time on the dance floor, I handle the behind-the-scenes work so you don’t have to think twice.
I work closely with both couples and vendors to bring everything together smoothly, with a balance of professionalism and warmth. My goal is to be a calm presence when I see stress rising, to share helpful tips and tricks throughout the day and to get things done before you even realized it needed to be taken care of.
